A new site I just builded for C. B. Fauna. Need some input before it open up to the public. This is just the main site.

Go through and check your spelling and Grammar. Nothing worse on a commercial site than mistakes in that.

Thanks, I will definately check on that. I tried to check as much as possible. But since it is not my site, some of the word, I am not familiar with.

a couple of things.... i didnt find the 2 images at the top very appealing.... the flower on the left has lost detail and for the life of me, I cannot figure out what the one to the upper right even is.
secondly, I had to scroll down to discover your main message :" Welcome to C. B. Fauna etc." I think that should be placed more prominently i.e. higher up

To follow up on dpf's comments, which were right on, you should consider puuting a tagline under the C.B. Fauna banner test that reads something like "Ornamental pond and water garden experts" or something along that line. Something succinct that immediately tell me what you are.

Secondly, the photos and backgrounds are unappealing and you look is too linear. The background reminds me of my grandmothers wallpaper in her old living room. Consider taking some of your better quality photos from your gallery - the nice after pix - and making a nice montage as your banner.

Also on your Pond Supplies page, I wasn't quite sure if that was an on-line store or not. I tried to click on items, half expecting a shopping cart to pop up. And when none did, I was perplexed that I got no other information on how to actaully buy the stuff. No phone number on the pages, no e-mail link, nothing that gave me instant info on how to spend my money with you.

I didnt know why the owner of the site want those 2 pictutures on top like that. That was her request to put them there(one is the lotus the other is Koi, I will recommend that the puctures be replace. As far as for the Main message I will move that up to the middle somewhere so customers can see it.

Yep, I will definately change it now, just talked to the owner. I will fix the banner and make it better

The picture background are the theme from frontpage. I will look into getting it change once I find a good back ground picture.

The reason that it is not leading you to anything from there yet, because I have not had a chance to get the shopping cart part up yet. It suppose to be http://shop.cbfauna.com Once I finish with the main site and get the shopping cart going they will be link, and Thanks for the suggestion. I like the idea.

OK I made some changed. Hopefully it will be better. For the life of me I can not change background in front page theme. I might have to manually do it, but with all the pages it will definately take a lot of time.
