Email form results? - 8/8/2004 15:31:41
When saving the email results dialog box, I get a message: "This form cannot be configured to send email results...." I contacted the system administrator and he wasn't much help. I said no to the prompt and published the form to the server with no results. I tried to create a new form and I get the same results. There isn't much on the Microsoft website and I am not sure what else to do!!

Do you have some code or a URL that we can take a look at? I'm just quite confused as to what the problem is. If you're using Frontpage it might be because there aren't the right FPSE installed on the server, or the form properties haven't been configured properly. Regards, Mark

Hi Katiejane, Welcome to OutFront Sounds like the "Disk based web" message asking you to remove the email recipient. Ignore the message and click "No"

The website address is katieskidz.com and the form is "contact me". I still have the problem when I select no when it asked me to remove the email recipient. It does work when I attach a database to the form. However, I need the email funtion to work. Thanks for your help.

try removing the asp and use a .html extension and go into the form properties again and click the send to email thing again. ignore the disck based message and re upload. One thing is that this site is unviewable in 800 x 600 screen resolution. everything under "about me" is missing and the contract page is missing all the links. Being that you are advertising a business, you should try to have your site viewable in at least 800 x 600. hope this helps.

Hi KJ, For sending to email and file, use the Send to: option not the Send to other: option. Make sure the extensions have been enabled for this page. In 2000 / 2002: Go to Tools >> Page Options >> Compatibility and check "Enabled with Microsoft FrontPage Server Extensions. In 2003: Tools >> Page Options >> Authoring and check "Browse-time Web Components" Click Here for basics of setting up form properties. You might also stop by my site for a heads up re: FrontPage forms.

I changed the extension from ASP to HTML and the message says: "cannot run the front page server extensions on this page" when I enter data from the website. Thanks for the info. on displaying the 800X600 browser I will correct that immediately. The browse-time web components box is checked. I get the same results. Thanks for the help
