asp auto run each day - 8/16/2004 5:00:49
Hi I have an ASP page on an intranet (Win 2K) that collects stats from a large database. Is there an easy way to run this "page" automatically once a day at 11PM? The page does a self.close() but always comes up with a "Are you sure" warning. Which is a pain, can i get round that? Cheers for any ideas.

I may be mistaken, but I don't believe an ASP script is going to run unless someone opens the page in their browser.

Might be wrong here... YOu will need to set-up a server "active" cron-job. Basically a task that will kick in at the desired time...and it will work "silently". Nto sure how you would se it up, but a Cron-job is what will be needed. Mark started a thread here which has been superbly answered by Katherine (abbyvet) Dan
