MDAC Removal - 8/16/2004 8:22:31
Hey Guys...

Win 2k Advanced Server...recently installed MDAC...and on install it said it wasn't removable...now I know that's a lie, if it can be installed...it can be un-installed

Why do I want to remove it....cos my ASP programs no longer work! that's why.

So how'd'ya remove the damn thing?

Cheers

Dan

It's anything ASP related, whether it be simple SSI or a custom written search program, of which I know works 'cos Erin uses it on one of her client sites. The error is just:

quote:

The remote procedure call failed

Nothing more, that's thru FF 0.9

D'ya think un-installing IIS and re-installing will solve it, or will I have to go look at Apache style servers for local testing?

Dan
