web page name change - 5/19/2001 20:56:00
I have tried to change the title name on my main page with out success. Can anyone assist me with instructions on how I may do this. I am using FP2000. I can rename the page however I lose all links and other page links as well.

Thank you for the assistance.

Dave,

Open up your page in the front page editor, then click the HTML tab. In the HTML view look for the <title></title> tags located at the top of the page between the <head></head> tags. You can change the title of the page by changing the information between the title tags.

Example:

<title>Your old page title</title>

<title>Your new page title<title>

then click save and your page will have a new title without changing any of the information in the body of the page (links, graphics..etc)

If you are not comfortable with going to the HTML view, then just right click on the page in the folders list, go to properties on the bottom of the context menu, and put in your title there.

You also don't have to open and close the page this way. Just right click, and give it a title.

Hope this helps.
