Uploading now from Front page. should this fix it? BostonHOG, Unless you've corrupted the FrontPage extensions by using WSFTP previously, which is a distinct possibility. FrontPage has been designed to publish from within the program. Period. End of story. Make live server changes and publish via FTP at your own risk - it's only a matter of time before the site hoses you (and your web client).

As in, I have always worked live on my site, it is just my prefered method. What issues are there from that, cos I have never noticed any issues. Thanks in advance. =] The issue is that if you make your changes live and something happens and you lose your site on your host server, you don't have a backup copy that is up to date. Unless of course you publish a copy back to your hard drive after making the changes.

To reinforce the point, I'll pass on my particular situation. I have (1) my local files, (2) my CD burner backup copy (after every change) and, of course, (3) the server files. Redundancy equals sleep tight tonite. My tag line says it all.

if you have a memory stick or considered buying one then it's even easier - you can just leave it in your machine and backup to it (assuming your site is less than the capacity available). at least you could back up after every MAJOR change ;)

If I went the route you do I would need to buy out Sony so I could have enough CD's available Taz, A point of clarification: by "every change" I mean every design session. I keep a CD-R in drive E, rename the file to current date (mysite 8-28-04), drag and drop to the CD-R, then rename file to the original (mysite). My sites typically run in the 10-20 mb range, so Imation is not getting rich off me. While I'm not paranoid, I am realistic: it's not if "the wet gooey stuff hits the fan", it's when.

Shared borders behave the same with or without server extensions. The issue is not FrontPag here. The issue is the java applet. I'm seeing code like the following in the paramaters of the applet. {||Group Riding,http://www.angelfire.com/ma4/bostonhog/groupriding.html/,self} I don't know for sure, but replacing "self" with "_self" or "top" or possibly "_top" may be the fix. I'm sure the documentation included with that applet would have some explanation of that. You apparently got the applet here. http://www.apycom.com That would be where to look on documentation on that product.
