Help with hyperlink variables - 9/1/2004 3:32:23
HELP ME!
I'm trying to add variable hyperlinks (y'know, the ones like .../content.html?p=8 or whatever). Does anyone know how to do this?

It's called an ASP or PHP program, with several functions called within it, each executed via the click of a link.

How's your ASP/PHP?

Dan

I would like to modify the hyperlink format to add the variables. In FP2003, you can do this by clicking hyperlink properties > parameters > add and so on, but when I do this, it doesn't work, presumably because it doesn't know where each bit is.
How do I get the site to recognise this?
All my pages are currently saved as *.html . Can I do this with html, because something as simple as that might be my problem.
I could convert them to *.asp , but I'm not sure if my service provider supports this file type. Do *.asp pages require a server to work properly?

Also, I am not using FP's publisher system to publish my site, but submitting it to my provider by ftp.

The Parameters field specifies values passed to server-side programs only which require hosting on a Windows 2003 server.
