why this site isnt being picked up be SE's - 9/2/2004 8:41:08
the url is www.katherine-ultrachallenge.com a site I basically transferred from its original URL at nt-tech.com.au/kuc over 12 months ago. The former host does not host anymore (to the masses) nor allow any modification (a redirect would solve all).....I will still persue but they were hacked badly once or five times.
The only page I have every located is a word doc from within the site. It has backlinks from several sites which show up in results.
The only thing I can think of is that the host (Hostica) has a problem although most of my other sites have very good SE placement.
Any theories ?

I've always been taught to link:/query pages indivdually not by domain. This will query your index only.
Questions:
Was your pages showing in the SERPS prior to the host move?
One suggestion is your navigation structure. I would suggest using text based links VS. images. However that's just my humle opionon.

It's still at #1 for the previous host, and only the linking pages are showing in results for anything related to the current site.
As for the old text v's image link....... the site is one of those "love jobs" from the old days. I might add a few text links & extra back links from other sites I look after.
It's not just google that isnt playing the game.
I'll keep wrestling with the old host to redirect. (Finally got them to add a redirect script once....however I sent them the wrong info( waaayyyy wrong))
