Link Bar and FP Extensions - HELP! - 9/12/2004 10:59:16
This is regard to www.tiburonsoccer.org

This problem first surfaced a few nights ago with this 3-yr-old website. Using FP 2003, I was publishing a small change to a page and received an error message that said FP extensions weren't installed on the server. I contacted the hosting folks who suggested that the extensions were probably corrupt and had me hit the uninstall and reinstall links on their website to set the extensions up fresh. No joy.

The main problem (besides continuing to get this message when I publish) is that my link bar (set to use nav structure) no longer carries the theme that it's supposed to. The links are all there, but when the text shows at all, it's just plain text with placeholders for the theme images.

Trying to find a cure, I have:
1. uninstalled/reinstalled the FPE's at least four times, following the hosts directions. This has included ftp'ing to the site and deleting ALL files before reinstalling the FPEs and then doing a full upload of my files.
2. converting my site from using shared borders to DWT's
3. lost about 3 night's sleep

Can anyone point me to a solution???!!!!!

Thanks,

-sd

Looking at it through IE, your main Nav is simple white text on blue background, is that what you want?

Viewing through FF, I get the "broken image link" notification thingy.

Ensure the image references point towards the desired image, instead of nowhere.

If they do, come back, and I'll see what else there is

Thanks.

Since I had 700 players/parents needing to access the site this weekend, I finally gave up and replaced my link bar with a simple table with links. I'll be back at a try for the solution tonight or tomorrow.

This looks like a similar issue to the Raspyni post on this board about no images appearing on link bars or banners. I did go ahead and add the same theme to the DWT page. But then ran into what may be the larger problem in that I continue to get a message saying that FPEs are not installed on the server (although they are).
