Break-out boxes? - 9/13/2004 16:41:50
I have a table of links that goes on every page of a rather large site. Currently, if I want to change one of those links, I have to manually go to every page and change it. How does one do break-out boxes (?), or whatever process it is that enables you to dynamically change the contents of a table across all pages? This is a dynamic content thing, yes. I imagine you have to do it in .asp if working with FP - but I don't even know what these things are called, let alone how to do them (which would help me find info on coding them).

They are called include pages, and you don't need ASP, though they can be done with ASP. FrontPage includes are probably the best way to go if you use FP to manage your site, you will find more about using FP includes and other types of includes here: http://www.outfront.net/tutorials_02/getting_started/includes1.htm
