Guest Login when trying to Publish... - 9/13/2004 23:45:40
Hi. Relative newbie to forum, old hand at FP. I use FP2002 on my desktop and laptop. Do most of my work on the laptop then publish to live site and desktop (as backup). Since yesterday, when I try to publish to desktop, I get the Windows Login box with "<systemname>\Guest" (grayed out) as the Username. I've tried everything I can think of to resolve this. Checked security on the desktop, on the WWWROOT sub under Inetpub, even ran the Permission Wizard on "Default Web Site" running under IIS 5.1 (on Windows XP Pro SP1). In fact, I screwed up the permissions using this and have reset them (correctly I hope) by re-installing FP 2002 Server Extensions. The only thing that's changed since the last time I successfully published anything to the desktop is that I've installed SP2 on the Laptop (Windows XP Pro).
I'm totally stumped as to what has changed. I apologize if the answer is here somewhere. I tried searching every way possible and came up empty.
