Server errors with FP2002 - 9/16/2004 9:15:45
Hi,

I am suddenly unable to publish my web pages with FP2002 due to receiving this message:

Server error: cannot open file "httpd.conf" for reading

Please advise.

Thanks,
Herman

What I would do to fix the problem is this:

Restart your computer after closing FrontPage, and try again.
Then re-install FP extesnions, and try again.
Then contact your host.

Thanks for the tips - did as you said, host reinstalled extensions

Recieved exact same error. Could publish FP sites to other server, so would this mean it IS a server issue?

It is a server error.

Your host needs to check their permissions on their httpd.conf file so that the httpd process can read it (It should be able to already) but that's where I would look.

It is definitely not an issue with your computer.
