Ful -> "Administration home" greyed out (9/20/2004 13:45:29)

Hello,
I'm fairly new to this - I'm setting up a website on IIS 5.1/ FP2003. Website works fine, but now I want to create a password-protected page using that sub-web method, but I can't get into administration. I go to Tools > Server... and "Administration Home" is greyed out ("Permissions" isn't greyed out though).
Any help appreciated.
thanks

[OS: WinXP Pro]

Ful,

You need to be connected to the host server for this feature to work - >>File >>Publish Site.

File >>Publish Site.

Actually I think it would be File>>Open Web, (instead of Publish) and then enter your URL in the web name box on the bottom. Enter username/password when prompted. Then you should have access to the permissions.

hmmm.. This is what I do. I open website at the host server (http://(localhost) url).
In IIS website properties > "Authentication" part, I have it on "Anonymous access" if this might be to do with it.

You are hosting the site yourself?

If not, you may need to contact your hosting service and have them set the permissions for you.

Maybe you would have better luck setting that up through the IIS management console rather than through FrontPage.
