Background picture in cell - 9/21/2004 13:55:34
Hi. I've noticed that in the cell properties menu there is a ghosted-out option for placing a picture onto the cell's background. Well, I really have a hankering to do exactly that. Does anyone know how to activate this option? (Thanks in advance.)

i think background image is an attribute at teh table level, not the cell level....could be wrong and dont have time to look it up.

Actually it can be an attribute for a cell also - however it may not behave well in all browsers. To make the option available in FP - go to Tools - Page Options (I think) and find the compatibility tab. Change the browser choice to exclude netscape, and that option should then be available to you. Nancy

Actually, I found out how to do it. You can do it at the table and cell level... cell/table properties > style > format > border > shading Here, in the "pattern" section, you can browse for an image to place as a background in the cell/table - however it will tile. If you want it to look like a single image behind the cell/table, then it's just a matter of matching up the dimensions of the image with the dimensions of the cell/table.
