Please take a look at these different opening pages for this sports bar web site and share your very valued opinions.

Please let me know what you think about the diffferent logos, banners and color scheme. The content is somewhat generic right now, but I think you'll get the idea. Also, they would like a scroll-free opening page at 1024 resolution. I think I accomplished that.

To look at the different pages, click on this link, then when you are on each page, click on the each HOME button - the only active link. There are four different pages.

FIRST ROUND

Thank you

3 has the nicer logo but I prefer the layout on 1 and 2.

Do they have an existing logo that they use elsewhere, if they do and they intend to keep it I would say use that. It is not ever a good idea to have a separate corporate identity on the web (however good the design) it sends out a confusing message. If the same identity is used everywhere; stationery, advertising , signage, beer mats, staff uniforms, vehicles and the website every time it's seen the image is reinforced in the consumers mind and it is more likely to be remembered.

If you are designing the new logo in tandem with the web design then they should at least have a sign on the outside of the bar in the new design as soon as the web site goes live.

That is what we are doing...they will choose one of those new logos on Friday and have signage, menus, web site, etc. branded...in addition to the color scheme, which all I was told was to go with something in a red.

The owners just purchased this bar recently.

How come you get bars and funky stuff and I get a plasterer. :) Do you have any idea how difficult it is to make a site about plastering look interesting? Thirty seven different views of plastered walls is sooooo inspiring. :)

Well, first of all you have to spend an inordinate amount of time with your clients. And that can be a problem. You have to sample the product and that weighs heavily on your creativity. All I do is sports bars.

Kinda like pepper's gig with all those Real Estate folks that worship her.

LOL, it's practically a cult.

Just got another huge one today - big main agency site, plus a possibility of 4 or 6 more individual agent sites - on top of one I'm working on right now that has over a dozen agents who may want sites......yikes, I'm actually afraid of what I've become.:)

So what you're saying is that I'm destined to spend the rest of my life with plasterers. :)

Well at least I now know the difference between Monopral, Cemrend, Lithopral and Rendapral. Whoop!

Karen go with the flow. You know you can do it and there's plenty of people on here to help if you get stuck.

rofl:)

jaybee - with this huge undertaking - scares the crap outta me but I think it can be done - I'm sure that I'll be on here crying a lot. I'm going to be using a real estate program though with this one...no chance of doing it the old fashioned way. all my other sites have been small single agent sites with no more than 50 listings...easy to manage, and they only send me a few updates a month. this one is way different...so the tough part, I think will be figuring out how to customize the real estate program templates when I get the darn thing installed....the real estate opera will continue in another thread, coming soon! :)

I tell you what, jaybee - you can design the next real estate site I get and I'll get plastered -- er, I mean, I'll do your next plasterer site. :):)

These all sound like recreational substances to me, if the plasterer is a user I wouldn't trust him on my walls. Random testing in the building trade is the answer.
