Vertical Alignment of Checkbox - 9/29/2004 12:02:04
Is there a CSS trick to get a check box to line up better with the subsequent text? Here is a screenshot of what I have. What I would like is for the bottom of the checkbox to be inline with the bottom of the text.

Try using float.

If you can post a link to the page and some of the css and your code, it would be a bit easier to tell how you are setting up the page.

I am not using CSS, but thought I could use a snippet on this particular element. The page is on an Intranet, so can't provide a link, but that's how all check boxes done in FP end up looking. I have added a style attribute to designate the size, but was hoping there was also some sort of alignment attribute as well. Correct me if I am wrong, as I am CSS illiterate, but isn't the <style> tag a CSS element?

Basically what you are trying to do is inline styles. If I am reading you correctly.

I think so. I don't have a stylesheet, but am trying to assign style attributes where I need them, such as on this checkbox. Is that considered "inline styles"? Are inline styles even related to CSS or am I way off base?

Inline styles are css.

here check this out

I find that sometimes a couple of links to stuff helps to learn it a bit. If you have any more questions please, don't hesitate to ask them!

Thanks Deb. This suits my eye much better:

style="vertical-align:middle;width:24;height:24;"

No Problem Duane.

If you have any other questions, don't hesitate to post.

Also, I find that reading a few pages with information on them is really very helpful. Don't forget about the links section in here. There are some good ones that people have posted in there.
