Error with frontpage search component - 10/1/2004 10:25:46
My frontpage search component has been working until a few days ago, as far as I know, nothing has changed. I have re-calculated the web several times, no help. I am the administator of the server. Now, when using the search component, I get this error:

Error from search: total_word_count not found in dictionary .This is either an error,or the database is old.

Delete the current search page from the server, and re-publish the current one you have locally, see if that solves the problem

You may also want to consider re-installing FPSE on the site, otherwise, look at: http://www.frontpagewebmaster.com/m_225208/tm.htm

I dont have any local pages...Everything I edit is directly from the server, I never use publish. Does this have anything to do with any files in the _private folder? I would prefer to use the frontpage search component than to try and add anything new. I did try and create a new search page, but that didnt work (same error)....Any ideas?

I have tried re-indexing several more times, now when I do a search I get a different error message, it states:

Error from search: can't open the word hash file C:\Inetpub\vmc\_vti_txt\default.wti\All.dct

No documents found. Please try again.

Was this error from the server or from your local machine?

That is the error on the search page from the web that was created using the front page search component.
