Adsense Low and High - 10/3/2004 17:20:58
I run an informational site and use Adsense as a way of offsetting the hosting, software, DSL line, etc. fees for the site.

After reading through the responses generated by Tom Brunt's "Google Adsense" thread, I wonder what's the lowest and highest amounts that anyone has had for a single click-through. The lowest I've seen is 3 cents, the highest was $7.70. The average has been about 38 cents/click. I'd be interested in the experiences of others in this forum for other types of sites.

I think the amount per click depends on the type of ads your site draws in. For example, I've had discussions with website owners who have considerably less clicks each day than I do, but they're consistently raking in 4 -5 times the amount of money. Seems the advertisers brought into their site have a much more competitive business than those drawn into mine, so the advertisers pay much more per click.

A bit frustrating for me, quite frankly. :):):)

Dankos, I think the reason you have not had more replies is that it is against the terms and conditions of adsense to reveal or discuss your Adsense earnings, click through rate, payment for clicks etc.

You can receive quite a bit of help understanding AdSense here:

http://www.sitepoint.com/forums/forumdisplay.php?f=45

The have special forums specifically set up to discuss programs such as Google. I've gotten sound insights and advice from participants about Google in addition to the help I receive at Outfront.

As has been pointed out, do familiarize yourself the terms. Google watches.
