Text rendering - 10/6/2004 8:08:50
Is there a way to get web pages to display smooth text, like a pdf file, using CSS or whatever? I've found that pdf's are much easier to read because the text is a lot smoother (it is always anti-aliased, no matter what font size). The only way I can think of is to use images, but thats not a very good solution.

depends on the user's OS - e.g. if they are using some sysyem level anti-aliasing such as clear type or even the 'smooth screen fonts' option for other windows users
