Help I am an idiot - 2/12/2001 13:32:00
I have a real stupid question that has probably been asked a million times. I created a swish movie but I can't get it to play. Any help would greatly be appreciated? This is the page on my site that I tried to insert it. www.skgastonia.com/swish/splash_page.htm

i was asking where the file was because it points to here in your source.
where it says embed src="skstartmovie.swf"
is that where it is ?? at the root.. or do you have that file in a different directory. If you do.. you need to change the directory to read where it is.

<param name="SWRemote" value><embed src="skstartmovie.swf" quality="high" bgcolor="#000000" WIDTH="458" HEIGHT="114" TYPE="application/x-shockwave-flash" PLUGINSPAGE="http://www.macromedia.com/shockwave/download/index.cgi?P1_Prod_Version=ShockwaveFlash">

You have to follow four steps:

1) Export your swf movie from Swish to your web folder.
2) After exporting the movie, copy the html code by clicking the "Copy HTML to clipboard" option in the EXPORT tab.
3) Paste the code where you want to appear in your page.
4) Make sure that in the html code, the name of the movie is correct (usually, it appears as "Untiled.swf"). If so, type it correctly.

It should work fine this way...
