GolfMax13 -> Edging an Image in PSP6 (2/16/2001 23:45:00)

I've created a square image in Paint Shop Pro 6. I'd like to tweak the outside of that square so it's not as plain looking. (kind of like, adding angles and indentations. sorry I can't explain it very well.)

I'm able to edit the inside of the image but I can't figure out what to click to edit the outside.

I've seen it many times out there on the net but I have no idea how to go about it.

Thanks Always in Advance,

Joe

There are a number of ways to do this. Probably the easiest way is to use the rectangle marque and select a portion of the image in the middle and copy it to the clipboard. Then delete that portion so you now have a hole in the middle. Edit the edges or whole background any way you want. Then use the paste tool/option under edit and place the image you copied back onto the new background. You can get fancy and add multiple layers, but this will do the trick.

Gene, thanks.

But when I select the middle of the image I can copy and cut, but I don't see a delete option anywhere. So I cut it, didn't get a hole in the middle and still don't know how to edit the outside of the image.

Sorry I'm so dense.

Joe
