Google Updating Toolbar PR - 10/8/2004 12:23:08
Google has been updating the toolbar Page Rank over the past couple of days after a 3-month "silent period". I guess they are on a quarterly basis now with the updates.

I've been using Firefox for the past several months. For some reason the Google toolbar on FF doesn't contain the ranking feature so to check my site I had to fire up IE. Not that I care that much, but for some reason my site ranking has gone to zero, zip, nada. Must've crossed Google somehow!

I have found out that google has been changing their tool bar Pr due to some SEO questions.. Link popularity is one of the most important steps I've found to raise PR. The problem I'm finding though is the following.. Many sites want to use a redirect to link to me.. I have come to find out that google and other search engines do not follow these links and/or spider these links. I've sence deleted these sites in my directory. Another thing I am finding is that many sites that do link to mine have a good page rank on the home page and in the internal pages but am finding that the link pages don't. I have checked the coding of the page to see if it has the following:
title tag
description
keywords
and if they have added index follow or not.. If they put noindex/nofollow i've deleted their site.. Could anyone give any pointers upon this? Any why this may be the case? If you are looking for quality when it comes to link exchanges, www.newworldproducts.org is my reciprocal link directory and I welcome only quality link exchanges.
