Please Review This Site - 10/8/2004 19:58:13
Hello!

I am currently working on an online conversion site at http://www.convertthis.com
The site performs conversions for measurements such as length, mass, temperature, etc..

Feel free to provide comments and suggestions about the look and feel of the site, page and site layout, optimizations which would improve search engine rankings, and any features you would like to see on the site.

Thank You and I look forward to read your feedback,
dtwebs

Hiya and welcome.

It's clear and the info is easy to get at. Good

Don't like the following bit....
quote:

As you will soon see, we perform conversions of various measurements.
We convert from miles to kilometers, liters to gallons, pounds to kilograms ...

Rather stating the obvious and not worded right. It sounds.....ummm....odd.

One thing that would be useful on there and prompt me to bookmark the site is a currency converter with the latest rates in it.

If you want to see the kind of thing I mean, checkout http://www.xe.com/ucc/
Try getting the result to appear on the same page though. This one is dead irritating as if you have more than one to do then you're constantly hitting the back button.

Following on from jaybee, here's a suggestion for the wording for the first paragraph - with a less "scientific" sound...

You can convert miles to kilometers, liters to gallons and more at the touch of a button...

Our newest tool, "Financial" will calculate stock gains/losses...

To begin, either use "Quick Selection" at top right, or choose from the elements below for conversion.

A currency converter would be an excellent addition to promote stickiness.
Cheers
Carol

Nope! But then I'm not using a mouse. I've got a stylus and a pad. :)

Most boys keep their stones in their pockets not their kidneys.

I bet we have now confused the hell out of dtwebs. :)

Basically, convert as much as you can find to as much as you can find. It'd be great to have a comprehensive site.

Hi DTwebs, take a look at the site I use Convert Me

I've just compared it to your site and IMHO convert me is much easier to use and faster.

On the 6th Sunday of every month of course. (unless there's a Q in the month)
