Anybody know why a Windows 2000 desktop would suddenly invert 180 degrees after running Windows Update?

I've suggested the ALT + TAB + arrow key (or was it CTRL + ALT + arrow, I forget) but that didn't fix it.

Also tried display settings, but it didn't help either. That system uses integrated Intel graphics... not an AGP card.

So far the only thing that has worked is to turn the monitor on its head...

Yes, that's the technical term... LOL

It looks like it was something in SP4... she uninstalled it and the problem went away. It's the only machine out of about 12 that went buggy with SP4

That was my first assumption but she ran a scan and it came up clean.

I'll send her the link anyway, just to be on the safe side.

Let me rephrase, it's not a virus but an adware threat. Depending on the AV engine it might or might not catch it. Symantec corporate AV can identify but not remove. Makes my life a hell as I have to send a remote tech out to remove instead of removing remotely from my cube here [:@][:@].

I told her an easier fix was to just turn the monitor upside down...
