Another Bar - 10/18/2004 16:16:23
Any suggestions or comments on the basics of this site before I add the content. (Other than CSS, in which I'm a complete dunce or the requisite W3 stuff. I know, I know, I'll eventually get around to it.)

I'd like opinions on the color scheme/look and the potential for too much white space on the couple of pages that do have content or are in progress. Also, any comments on browser compatibility outside IE would be most appreciated.

As usual, beverages on me for everybody!

Hi Minix,

I liked the site, those colours certainly work well together and suit the bar business. I viewed your site in IE 6, Firefox 1.0, MSN, Mozilla 1.7, Netscape 7.2 and Opera 7.5.4 and it was consistent through all those browsers.

Only one personal preference, on the opening page you have 2 rows of photos, the first few in each line are of individual people and the end few are of groups of people. Do you think it might work a bit better if you separated each group photo with one of just an individual?

Thanks Nicoleoz.

Those photos are actually taken at another bar that I did a site for. Same owner, he just purchased this new bar, so I'm using those until I get pix from the new site. I will certainly use your suggestion when framing the new photo banner.

the more I look at this site, the less I like that the same pics repeat at the bottom..seems pointless

I had the same feeling as Dan re: the repeated images at the bottom....it might not look as redundant if you reverse the order of the bottom row.

Otherwise, I'll have that Southern Kiss now. Nice job!

Your right dan.

I just don't have any pix yet from the new client so I'm using these until I get enough to mix it up.

I should have been clear on that earlier.
