How about just making a 4x4 (orwhatever size) rule design, placing it in a cell as the background and making the cell as long as you need it?------------------

make an image 1x1 and display it on your page using this code (or something similar)<img width="5" height="100%" src="vertivalrule.gif"> it will then resize itself automatically for the size of the screen or the size of the table it is in

I thought Netscape doesn't support the height attribute? Or is that only for tables?I also thought Netscape didn't support the background cell attribute? ------------------ <thanks> Nancy </thanks>
