Frontpage 2003 Server Extensions - 11/5/2004 14:13:37
Good day,

I have updated my frontpage from 2000 to 2003 now my forms do not work. I take it that this is because the frontpage server extensions need to be updated as well on my web server.
Can anyone answer these question please.

1)Are there server extensions that are 2003 or do you have to use 2002 extensions for frontpage 2003?

2)What is Frontpage Share Point and is it necessary to down load them as well?

3)If I update the server extensions, would the older browsers (such as ie 4.0) have any problems with the forms?

4)Where to withi Microsoft is the server extensions for fp2003?

Your answers to these questions would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks,
onetouch

FPE 2003 don't exist as of yet - the latest version is FPE2002.

If using FP2003 it is highly recommended that you do have Sharepoint installed on the server, a the more advanced features 9and some oft he not so advanced) features of FP will require Sharepoint Services installed to work

No. The FPSE are a server side function - therefore no browser issues will occur, or at least they shouldn't

Available as a download from the Microsoft site, or bundled with IIS6 - again from M$

You shouldn't have nay problems publishing a web made in FP2000 to 2002 extensions, however, publishing from FP2003 to 2000 extensions can cause problems
