Using graphics in PowerPoint? - 6/5/2001 20:38:00
I am struggling with pixels vs. inches. I'm not truly creating web graphics at the moment, but I'm hoping someone can help. I was told that I need to create graphics that are 3.25 inches (both length and width) or 234 x 234 pixels. The graphics need to conform to this size because an application will be taking the graphic and inserting it into a PowerPoint template, and those are the indicated dimensions of the image box. If it doesn't fit, the image is stretched and therefore distorted. In Image Composer, I created a graphic that is 234 x 234 pixels. Saved as a .jpg. When in PowerPoint on a blank slide if I insert this graphic file and then check the image properties, it indicates that the size is 2.93 x 2.93 inches. What has me even more confused is that if I copy and paste the 2.93 inch graphic from PowerPoint back into Image Composer, Image Composer indicates that the dimensions are now 281 x 281 pixels. Anyone have any idea what dimensions (pixels) I need to make the graphic in Image Composer to end up with a 3.25 x 3.25 inch graphic in PowerPoint? Thanks for any help you can give me.
