Photodraw discontinued - 6/5/2001 14:55:00
Has anyone else noticed that Microsoft has discontinued Photodraw as of 5/31/01?

Supposedly XP will pick up the slack with Visio and Photo Editor???

I third it . . .

Keep in mind that Visio isn't in the same class of products as Photodraw. Photodraw is (was) the Microsoft attempt at a bitmap editor.

Visio isn't a bitmap editor. It's an excellent tool for creating process flow charts, technical illustrations, network configurations, etc. It has been a standard in technical writing long before Microsoft bought it. It's an extremelly valuable tool, but I don't see how it would pick up any slack of Photodraw.

The $ one would spend on Photodraw could be better spent on PSP or PS Elements.

Just my opinion

Regrettably, I found the shortcomings of Photodraw after I had purchased it early last year.....

I'm familiar with Visio, and have used it, and find that it has it's place.... But not with me....

I was just surprised to see them discontinue it...

I'd like a refund, actually...
