Looking for tutorial - 6/11/2001 21:35:00
I really like the left border of this new design and was hoping someone could point this unartistic (such a word?) person in the right direction to learn how to make one.

Thanks again, Sheryll.

Well, it just takes a little imagination, or you could purchase a template. They have some here or you can check out www.wilsha.net.
A template has all the graphics and buttons, all you do is add your own special graphics and text content.

Thanks for replying Gene but it was really just the fading border I wanted to learn how to make not the whole site as graphics are my downfall.

Thanks again, Sheryll.

Have you got Image COmposer?

If so just make a rectangle in the colour of your choice. The use Effects>Gradients and experiment with applying a gradient to get the image to fade out to the right. You can then use the resulting image as a background to a table.

http://www.two4u.com/bg-faq/leftbar/ Not a great tutorial but it may help you.

There used to be one at the pixelfoundry too. But it is giving me a 404 error
