RE: FPSE stopped working. - 12/9/2004 10:54:43
I was under the impression I could not install the FPSE2000 on a wk3 server. If that is not true and I can install the FPSE2000 on my server, since all the websites have the 2000 extensions, would that help my problem or make it worse? I could just extend the sites with FPSE2000, which is what they had before. Alan

Say kabanero, did you by chance make any changes to ie explorer? I have been doing some searching and found this post... http://www.frontpagewebmaster.com/m-205532/tm.htm I can't try this fix until tonight... but the fix might be this simple. I did tweak ie explorer because of the security messages I was getting. If this is all it is I think I am going to scream... thanks MicroSoft!! What do you think Dan/Shirley? Alan

Success! Success! Success! The fix was the added security feature for IE explorer on wk3. I went to the Add/Remove for Windows components and un-installed the IE explorer security feature. Now everything works just like it is suppose to. Un-installing the security feature completely is probably overkill, could configure it, but I just wanted to fix the problem fast for now. Just thought you would like to know for future reference. I know this problem will pop up again for somebody. It was this post... http://www.frontpagewebmaster.com/m-205532/tm.htm , that gave me the clue. Thanks for all your help and suggestions. Alan
