Hi All

i am having a problem here ragarding tthe frontpage server extensions. The versions i am usin are windows 2003 server ,frontpage 2002 ,IIS
intially when we shifted the website from windows 2002 server to 2003 server the website worked perfectly well. but later the other website which is int he same server , they tried to install share point and also again uninstalled the share point. from then again started the problems the hit counter doesn't work and the links i nthe website few of them don't open giving an error

the server couldnot complete your request.
contact your ISP or web server administrator to make sure that the server has the frontpage server extensions

i tried to check for the server extensions by goingto all tasks and click on the check server extensions then says
you are unauthorized to do this

why does this come out

please anyone can help me out in this

Are you signed on as an administrator when you try this? If it is telling your that you are not unauthorized to do this then you probably are not logged on as an administrator.

I did log in as an administrator but still it doesn't work out.

1) Delete Web From Server
2) Reinstall FPSE
3) Reinstall Sharepoint Services
4) Publish Web To Server

yep thats what we need to do i guess. so how much time do you think it would take to reinstall. and share point and frontpage server extensions should not be in one as they are not compatible , thats why oue website is corrupted and in our server no one is using share point so its not necessary. accoding to the research i came ot know that both cannot be in one place.
could you please give me some brief steps as how i need to proceed inorder to do this.

Your research is wrong. FP2003 requires Sharepoint for some of the more advanced web functions to operate. You can install FPSE and Sharepoint services on the same server, for the same web. Get in touch with Shirley, she can take you through it step by step
