ginnie -> Swish effect (7/23/2001 13:02:00)

Hi,

My client would like a specific effect but I'm having trouble achieving it. What I want to do is have some text "Scale letters" on the left (which it already does), but then slide to the far right of the row and then become stationary.

The url where I'm trying to do this is:

http://www.cplinc.net/

The text "The care continues . . . globally" is what I'm referring to . . . it's on the left within the orange band below the logo, etc.

Thanks for any suggestions on how I might be able to do this...or if it's even possible with Swish...

ginnie

You might want to make your swish the width of the page then use the transform effect.

Such as start at unchanged then transform X to some number (700). This should work if I am interepreting correctly.

Then put a stop command the frame after it ends.

Thanks,
Eric

Hi Ginnie-

Easy to do and suzkaw was close. You simply use the transform option and then under 'move' modify the x-position or the y-position.

Hi,

Thank you both for your replies.

As it turns out, I've convinced them not to try to change to the effect that would scroll all the way across the page because the page is set up in a 100% wide table and there wouldn't be any way to have it start at the left and end up at the right margin under higher resolutions than 800 x 600.

I appreciate and will print these instructions though for future reference since I've never used the transform effect before.

Thanks again!

ginnie
