How can I get a background to print along with the rest of the webpage?

If you are using IE, go to Tools>Internet Options>Advanced Tab>put a checkmark in the box under Printing/Print background colors and images.

Thanks. I am designing a website with a background that I'd like to show up when people print it. I guess there's no way for it to print unless people adjust their IE properties?

Nope, you can't control their printer. The only option might be to put a little note on the page suggesting they change their options for you, but that would be about the only choice.
