RE: Combining hotspots, a Gif and a JPEG - 8/13/2001 19:41:00
What you need to do here is break up the jpeg into a number of smaller images which you place in table cells. One of the cells can then contain the gif.I would suggest the following. Make a table with 3 columns, the right and left with one row, the middle with 3 rows. Set table border =0, cell padding and cell spacing =0. Set the table width to the width of your jpg and highlight the whole table, click cell properties and untick the width settings altogether. Now take your jpeg and split it in 3 - the left bit as far as the gif begins - ie just right of the word beautykwest, the right but with evertything right of where you want the gif. This leave the middle bit. Split it in three - the top bit and the bottom bit will be the yellow edges of your jpeg. The middle bit - which will be just white space really - you can discard. Now you can position all of these in your table and you will have an empty center cell - put the gif in here. I hope that is clear - it is difficult to explain but relatively easy to do. You may need to fiddle a bit with cell alignments to get it sitting correctly.
