Need Throhand Font - 11/26/2004 0:57:24
Does anyone know where I might be able to download Throhand Roman (windows not mac) for free? Or know the name of a copycat font.
I only need it for one single page banner consisting of 6 letters - so paying US$42 (AU$53) is rather steep.
Matching a client's existing stationery can be a right pain.

I downloaded your font zip files way back in Feb this year (many thanks again!) and naturally that was one place I checked first up. I didn't find anything likely under the Ts or Rs, so unless it is lurking under a strange name, it's not there ... whaaaaaaa.
Oh well, maybe I'll have to make do with Goudy.

I just looked for it, and it's paid for only...which is a shame...
If you can hang on, I have Fontographer at home, and I can attempt to make it for you?

Hi Dan,
Many thanks for the kind offer but I really couldn't accept. I know you are a very busy lad and have your time more than cut out for you already. I gather that creating good fonts is not exactly a quick and easy task, which why they can get away with charging $42 each.
I'll probably have to settle for using Goudy, especially as I need to get the template done this weekend.
