Screen reader emulation extension for Firefox - 11/26/2004 9:43:51
Fangs
Fangs is a Mozilla Firefox extension that displays a text representation of a web page similar to how a screen reader would read it. This helps web developers finding accessibility issues at an early stage in the UI development process.
I have successfully installed this into FF1 and although it is not yet finished it does give an insight into how web pages are 'rendered' including links, page structure, alt txt etc. and it compares favourably with the Lynx viewer in the IE Web Accessibility toolbar.
