Legality of using pictures of people? - 8/24/2001 20:34:00
I notice that on a lot of commercial sites, you will generally find pictures of people's faces etc. I have a web site that I have been working on for some time and would like also have some pictures os people just to improve its look. Where do these pictures come from and are we allowed to use them or do we have to pay some type of royalty? I will be submitting the URL to the Critique Forum soon, but not quite yet. Thanks, Joe C.

There are lots of places where you can get royalty free photographs, you just pay a one off fee for using an image on your site. Also check out the Microsoft design gallery, the images are a bit overused but wilth a little judicious work can be made to look diffenrent enough. www.arttoday.com also has a lot of images and you can have a trial membership free. For royalty free images I like www.hemera.com www.photodisc.com www.comstock.com There are many others ------------------ Katherine InKK Design LinKKs - Kilkenny's Online Magazine -*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-* "Dogs have owners, cats have staff!"
