Swish cf. Ulead Cool 3D - 9/8/2001 23:43:00
Amyone try both? Which has the easiest learning curve? My assumption is that they both do just the same things.Gail

I have used Swish and found it so easy to learn - however it is the older version. I haven't upgraded to v.2 yet so take my comments with a large grain of salt. My understanding is that a lot of new features have been added. The last I knew they have a free trial version.I have no information on the other one. Maybe they also have a trial version and you can compare. Nancy ------------------ Wrinkled is NOT one of the things I wanted to be when I grew up! FP2K Themes and Templates DreamweaverSites

You may want to look at CoffeeCup Firestarter also.I've been using Swish and CoffeeCup trial versions and they seem to be pretty similar. Both seem pretty easy to learn. Mike R

I've downloaded the trial versions of all three. Coffee cup is intuitive, but seems limited in it's features compared to the others. Swish, to me, seems much more complicated which would require a steep learning curve. Ulead's Cool 3D seems somewhere in between. All three programs cost the same. Most users of this forum seem to use Swish, a plus if I needed some assistance. Any further insights to help me make a decision which to buy? I know very little about these types of programs. Thanks, gail

Hi Gail,I bought and used Swish some time ago. Although I didn't wind up using in a site, I found it pretty easy to pick up. Other than the obvious abbreviated capabilities, the only limitation I found was my own creativity or lack thereof. As for help on a product, I don't think people in this forum would let you down, no matter what product you selected. But knowing there are several Swish users here certainly weighs in its favor. Hope this helps. ------------------ Piper Bill "Uiste, agus cluich" said the P/M.
