Front Page SE installation - 12/1/2004 13:53:06
Hello,

I made a website with FP 2000 and published it to my server (home-Lan, fixed IP address) and that works fine.

Except for forms and such because those need FP SE.

So I tried to install those.
Add/Remove Programs, Add/Remove Windows Components (XP Pro), IIS with PF SE clicked.

Install went fine.

But when I try publishing (file method) it says there's a FP SE web there so use http, NOT. Because when using http to publish it says there's NO web with FP SE available...

Do FP SE need activating or something?

By now I have gone all the way back to just IIS without any fixtures but I want to have it work with Server Extensions.

Any help out here?

Thanks in advance.

Right Click My Computer>>Manage>>Expand Internet Information Services>>Exapnd Default Web Site>>Right Click on it and select properties>>Go to the Server Extensions Tab>>make sure "Enable Authoring" is enabled

Also, are you using an IP address or ccomputer name to publish to?
