pictures in cell - automatically resizable? - 9/13/2001 23:15:00
I have inserted a picture into a cell on my table. The size of the table is 100%, which I assume will adjust to the current browser and screen size. However, the picture will not resize. Is there a way to make it change its size to fit the table cell?

Images should be considered as a set size, and not adjustable as you desire. Nancy ------------------

Can I use the picture as a background in the cell? I tried this, but it was very large. Is there a way to size the background picture so that it will be shown completely within the cell - especially when the cell is resized?

Sorry, same answer.The image size is set, it isn't going to adjust even as a background for the cell. You can give the appearance of a background image adjusting if it is a small image that tiles, but not a larger image. Also images used as background in tables and cells are viewed much differently in IE and Netscape, so caution and lots of browser checking are in order. Nancy ------------------
