what you think??? - 12/6/2004 17:39:09
Hi Guys Busy trying to work out a good template that I can use to create our site in earnest. Right now, only the destinations button work with Ireland/Scotland and Wales having been hyperlinked. www.threshertravel.co.uk Any advice/critique about the logo/colours/mouse over effects would be much appreciated. Also if you can let me know about the maps download time in destinations. It is hopefully going to be a working business site once we have this new idea worked out. So this is basically the second-ish draft. Thanks Guys. Be gentle!!! Jason

Well Jason there really isn't much there to go by. The banner looks OK but frankly takes up about 20% of my screen at 1024 x 768 and as far as the load times for the pages coming off the map, they have no content so they're fast. Put some real content/images in there and they may slow down. $.02

should read "Where the sky's the limit". rollovers work fine except there's no preload so they load *when* i rollover. there's a few preload scripts knocking around for fp somewhere - hopefully someone will poin them out. not sure if fp 2003 has them in 'behaviours'.

Hi Toothy, Well like the other's have said, there's not a lot of content so there's not much to comment on. Actually i saw the banner and links load, then nothing so i came back here to read what the other's had said, went back to your site having read them and then saw that a map had loaded. So i guess it took a while to load on my dial up connection. Just on the map, maybe it'd look better if instead of the white background, you had the same background colour as the rest of your page? Also, how do your mouse over affects look in Mozilla? I know i've had trouble with that browser before. Nicole
