RE: Logo - 10/15/2001 16:46:00
The problem is the way you saved it. There are two points here:1. You saved the image as a gif and it contains elements better saved in a jpg format - the shadows specifically. However saving as a jpg has disadvantages too. You can save shadows fairly sucessfully in gif format using the procedure outlined at these links: http://www.pioneeris.net/ashton/IC/customize.htm http://www.demitrius.com/mic/savgif.shtml 2. You need to experiment with the different choices when you save - in this case you did not set the background properly and so what should have a white background has a black one. Try this series of choices at each new screen- - Select your image in IC - File>Save for the Web - Tick 'The selected sprite or group' - Tick 'Fill them with the background colour - Select the background colour of the page where the image will be used. - You now have a series of previews on gif and jpg at various degrees of compression. Experiment with these and see which gives you the best result. However having a read of the links above will result in much better quality gifs and though it seems complex at first it is really pretty straightforward. -
