Turn search results on/off - 12/8/2004 12:04:08
I have a db allowing employers to search for employees. I'm trying to figure out how to allow an employee to log in and turn their profile "off" (if they do not with to have employers view their info), and also to turn the profile back on again if they wish. Anyone have any ideas? Thx

Simply add a field to the database titled, Permission or something like that. I would make it a text field and then allow users to set it to Yes or No. Then in the SQL that searches the field, include in your WHERE clause, WHERE Permission = 'Yes'. That way, only records where the user has granted permission are returned. Make sense?
