DVD movie w/still photo images and music - 12/8/2004 15:54:30
Hi and Happy Holidays. Does anyone know how to make a DVD movie using photo images (with music if possible) in Paint Shop Pro 9? I also have Photo Shop Elements but not as familar. This will be for my Dad's birthday -- scan old photo's and use some of my digital pics, etc. Thanks! Pat

well in paint shop pro you could use animation shop (but no sound)- must convert pics to gifs first.. then burn to dvd (hell of a lot of data to need a dvd) flash would also do it and let you add sound

Windows XP? You could always use Windows Move maker to make a WMV file, then use a DVD Video burner Proggy to encode and burn that. You can then add sound etc to it ;)

No, but you could download one of the trials of specialist DVD Slideshow software here I have used Photo2DVD a year or two ago, and the trial had some sort of restriction on it, logo branding I think. But that site has a huge assortment of programs, so maybe some others will only have a time restriction. Good luck.

For the last 4 months I have been making family dvds using all my images & some video footage (with lots of music) The software I used was picturetotv.com and has a minimal learning curve. It will cost about about $50 USD with the MPEG2 codec (you need this for the extra clarity in the images) We now have several dvds playing on TV with kids images & music. Others with scenery & others for old friends with images dug out of the archives.

I know this is way after the original post, but didn't see it earlier. I use a program from Ulead called DVD PictureShow 2. Very easy to learn and you can add multiple songs etc.

www.dvd-photo-slideshow.com The trial version has no watermarks on the photos and is very easy to use. The only restriction is a maximum of 36 photos. The full version has something like 1800, and isn't too expensive.
