FP add in for help with SEO? - 12/9/2004 12:20:33
Hey everyone, long time no post!

I've been exhausting myself of late with keyword research, using multiple sites/setting to do keyword density checks, and doing the wonderful meta tag tango. I did a search looking for some FP add in that would eliminate some of this intense research on my part (I run my business by myself so you can imagine i'm spread thin as it is). I came across a FP add in called rankpal, has anyone here found it useful? My field is in Telecom, specifically broadband DSL and T1 lines and the amount of keywords in this field is staggering as one might imagine. Getting any sort of SERP ranking is all but impossible so im looking for as much of an edge I can get. Any information regarding FP and add in's for SEO would be a of great value. Thanks in advance and happy holidays!

Yep I sure have checked into PPC through O, G, and Enhance (ah hah). Google simply wants too much for my KW's thanks to people like my former employer who pay $4.00 a click on anything remotely relevant. I can't compete with that so I have some small time stuff starting with O and Enhance. Their costs are more within reason. I'm currently working on those ads and I haven't gotten the PPC up as of yet due to the holidays. I do want to attempt to generate as much homegrown SE traffic as possible through KW and tags until I can get more marketing oomph. I'm getting better at it but it's really the time checking density and tag relevancy thats killing me. I'm not sure if it's the broad spectrum of KW's in this field or if it's just what one engine likes over another. Not long ago, I made it to #1 in MSN Beta and in Yahoo on a few KW's so I know im onto something, I only have a piece of the puzzle though. It sort of reminds me of that rubix cube I had when I was a kid....you know where you just took the stickers off an rearranged em cause you couldn't get the damned colors to EVER match.... *wanders off mumbling and damning those evil cubes*:)

Not addressing you original question here really.

Keep in mind for PPC you do not have to be 1st/highest. Shoot for third if concerned off site of Google. Shoot lower if only concerned with on site for Google. Also look for lesser keywords that are coined in your genre, these can lead to better ROI. The more targeted the less clicks but better conversion in my experience (call me low budget :))

As for an add-in, not that I have ever heard of for FP. However I have heard of raves on word tracker. Only draw back, it is on-line only. You pay by the day, week, month or year. Never used it myself though.

Take care,

Brian

I am about to start some modest PPC campaigns however I am believe the real value lies in organic SERPS. That is why I have been taking the time to do such exhaustive research. I still haven't bought this RankPal product and I was still hoping someone here might have used it seeing as it is specifically made for FrontPage. I suppose if it was so great I might have heard something by now anyway....
