heres another freebie Pixieml Its a colour picker that includes a mouse tracker. Run it, simply point to a colour and it will tell you the hex, RGB, HTML, CMYK and HSV values of that colour. You can then use these values to reproduce the selected colour in your favorite programs. Pixie will also show the current x y position of your mouse pointer.

Hi All,
Odd that this would be my first contribution to the forums here (just joined; I'm a new Spooky Login user). But I found the thread interesting and thought I might add a couple of tools to the mix.
Text Editor:
ConTEXT. Very versatile. Good (and extensible) syntax highlighting. Like it a lot.
DHTML Menu System:
Milonic Menus. I also like this menu system a lot (so much so that I volunteer as a moderator on their forums). Very versatile, completely "styleable", css-compatible, cross-browser, lots of features. You can get a free trial, plus they offer fully-functional, free licenses for non-profit sites. Commercial licenses are reasonably priced. I hope that didn't come off as an ad; I just really like the system.

I use Vim as a text editor: http://www.vim.org/
It's pretty simple but useful, has a few neat features and it supports (highlights and indents) all kinds of programming languages and file types apart from HTML.
