Win 2k Networking - 12/12/2004 19:27:31
Hi All Am working on setting up a two PC network, both PCs on Windoze 2k, and just want to share Printers and the net connection between the two. The second PC is a new one, fresh install of 2k to be exact, and second one is mine, not an old installtion, but it's not a new one either Have 10/100 Ethernet cards in both machines, both Realtek, same model etc, connected with Cat5e Crossover cable, the connection works fine, but, I can't get the connection to allow the PCs to see each other, therefore not allowing me to share my printers and the net connection. As far as can be told, the settings are as they should be. The net connection is shared, and set to use the right network connection to allow net access and printer sharing. Both machines are on the same work group, both manually configured to 192.168.XXX.XXX IP addresses, but no avail on successful network connections Any Ideas? Cheers
