Welcome To Outfront

You will need to setup Nameservers, either on the web server itself, or as different machines, and then register them with a domain registrar, and the purchase a domain, point it towards the Nameservers.

Then you can solve the rest of the DNS problems that may occur

Perfect... So basically all i have to do at this pint is buy the domain. I created a forest and named each tree, on my lan all servers can be surfed like the net. the only issue is that it cant be reached on the net by anything other than that ip... Cool okay, good deal. Thanks for such speed in the response

and now i have my domain forwarding the traffic to me but when they get there i still has my ip number..

For the directory problem, read Katherines htaccess tutorial:

http://www.outfront.net/tutorials_02/adv_tech/htaccess_magic1.htm

And the other question:

You merely have the IP Address masked by the domain, the page uses frames to do so. HAve you set-up Nameservers for the server?
