Nancy Nelson -> HTML Coding (3/16/2001 16:56:00)

I'm using a form with the mailto: command as my customer doesn't have FP extensions installed.

They want the submission to take the user to a new page confirming the submission. The confirmation is not customized, just a basic html page with no information collected or displayed.

Is there a way to do this using the action of the form or using the submit button? I've been chasing around HTML sites looking for this, with no success. I thought maybe with target, but so far I haven't had any luck.

I am not sure I fully understand. Are you wanting a confirmation page that has form information displayed in the page or just a customized confirmation page?

Good one Nancy!

I would also like to know how too.

I assume you are using a perl script since they do not have the extensions.

BNB has a great, easy to use script that will allow you to customize the confirmation page the way I think you mean that you want it.

The confirmation page is customizable, and it gives all form info in a neat and tidy format. The script is very easy to use and full featured like a lot of the "pay for" scripts.

No scripts involved at this point. I'm using the

<form enctype="text/plain"
action="mailto:myaddress@myaddress.com"
method="post">

and the form works okay.

Instead of keeping them at the page with the form, I want to send them to a "thank you for your submission" page (not customized with any details, just a plain html text page).

I'm just not sure how!
